Why I chose this new hotel for our English study trip in Clark?
Over the years, seeing so many parents at the language school,
what touches me most is that exhausted look the reluctance to give yourselves a break.
Today at Loom Ramble, standing on that sun-drenched balcony looking over the lush greenery of Clark, I realized: being a study guardian doesn't mean sacrificing your quality of life.
A coffee shop downstairs, and only a 10-minute walk to school. In a city without the suffocation of skyscrapers, give yourself some breathing room. If the kids are learning happily, we deserve to live comfortably, too.
Beyond "learning English," I hope you find a long-lost peace here. What’s the one thing in a hotel room that truly helps you relax?

but if a student isn't sleeping well or eating nutritiously,
the brain just shuts down. This week, our kitchen is serving up mushroom soup and fresh salads
small things that make a big difference in how a student feels.
To all the parents out there:
we're keeping them fed and happy so they can focus on being brave.

Am I a 'bad mom' for taking my son to the Philippines right before his high school entrance exams? 😂
I struggled with this for months. But after 30 days at Hana Academy, watching my 9th grader laugh with friends from across the globe and seeing my twins become so much more confident, I have zero regrets. We found an 'International Classroom' that no cram school could ever replicate.

A hidden gem tucked right next to a car wash. This is the ultimate Filipino vibe,
getting your car cleaned while sipping a latte bigger than your face for just a few pesos.
It's cheap, it's massive, and it's honestly a bit insane. I've mastered the 'chill' lifestyle here, but finishing three of these a day like Min? I'm still not on that level! 😂

In 2025, I took my 7-year-old to the Philippines for a 3-month course. One "accidental" school tour and a "Mom, I want to stay" later, we ended up living there for a year.
Solo parenting abroad was exhausting—the chores, the house hunting, the logistics. But seeing him tan from the sun, brave in the pool, and speaking English with a smile made every struggle worth it.
We’re heading home now, healthy and full of memories. Sometimes, the best thing a parent can do is just say "yes" to the unexpected.

Recently, I was touched by Lily's story.

The most beautiful part is the whole family meeting people from all over the world.

他本來要去馬達加斯加傳教,卻因為疫情轉彎來到菲律賓。他放下醫生的身分,在這裡學游泳、搭吉普尼、跟廚師學泡菜、甚至去 80 塊的小理髮店剪頭。
他說:「英文是這輩子都要背負的作業,多走幾步,世界就不一樣。」

Why I chose this new hotel for our English study trip in Clark?
Over the years, seeing so many parents at the language school,
what touches me most is that exhausted look the reluctance to give yourselves a break.
Today at Loom Ramble, standing on that sun-drenched balcony looking over the lush greenery of Clark, I realized: being a study guardian doesn't mean sacrificing your quality of life.
A coffee shop downstairs, and only a 10-minute walk to school. In a city without the suffocation of skyscrapers, give yourself some breathing room. If the kids are learning happily, we deserve to live comfortably, too.
Beyond "learning English," I hope you find a long-lost peace here. What’s the one thing in a hotel room that truly helps you relax?

the brain just shuts down. This week, our kitchen is serving up mushroom soup and fresh salads
small things that make a big difference in how a student feels.

A hidden gem tucked right next to a car wash. This is the ultimate Filipino vibe,
getting your car cleaned while sipping a latte bigger than your face for just a few pesos.
It's cheap, it's massive, and it's honestly a bit insane. I've mastered the 'chill' lifestyle here, but finishing three of these a day like Min? I'm still not on that level! 😂

In 2025, I took my 7-year-old to the Philippines for a 3-month course. One "accidental" school tour and a "Mom, I want to stay" later, we ended up living there for a year.
Solo parenting abroad was exhausting—the chores, the house hunting, the logistics. But seeing him tan from the sun, brave in the pool, and speaking English with a smile made every struggle worth it.
We’re heading home now, healthy and full of memories. Sometimes, the best thing a parent can do is just say "yes" to the unexpected.

他說:「英文是這輩子都要背負的作業,多走幾步,世界就不一樣。」
