Even 'Let's Take the Day Off and Go Out and Play' Was Refused — A Taiwanese Parent's Google Review

Swimming pool and gazebos on the HANA Academy campus

A Taiwanese parent looks back on the airport pickup, the hotel, and children who turned down even a day off to go out and play.

This is a review a Taiwanese parent left on Google Maps. Below is the full text, translated from the Traditional Chinese original.

When we first arrived here, my heart was uneasy, and it stayed that way until I saw the driver at the airport holding a sign and looking for us; we got in the car and headed all the way to the hotel. The hotel was exactly the same as what I had seen online, and it was very good. Although it was already close to midnight when we arrived (already past 10 o'clock), the school staff were there waiting for us too, and they explained the things we needed to pay attention to the next day. Overall, this school's facilities are not very new, but they give you an even more relaxed and happy feeling. My children did not like studying at school, and they did not really dare to speak English. But after coming here, even when I told them to take the day off and go out to play, they refused. They are very proactive and very eager to learn. What is even more unbelievable is that they actually told me they like chatting with the teachers here in English! Time passed very quickly, but they were still quite reluctant to leave this place. I feel that for summer and winter vacations from now on, I have finally found a place where I can take them to learn through play, rather than just play and feel that time is being wasted. I think we will definitely come again next year and the year after.
